Breakfast Break

Hungry Jack Complete Pancake Mix is $1.58 for a normal sale price without coupons.
So to feed my family of 6 on a Saturday morning, we make an entire box of pancake mix any shape we like (first letters of everyone's name) and plan on a dozen fried eggs for $1.20 (egg prices vary). At the end of the meal, the uneaten eggs can go in the fridge to add to some fried rice at lunch maybe. And the uneaten pancakes go something like this:

Now, as tempting as the frozen pancakes and waffles look in the freezer isle - there are usually small ounce / big price when you compare to making them yourself. I freeze them in bags of 4 or 5 pancakes each because it will feed me and my girls for one breakfast during the week. Saturday morning meal for 6 people AND 8 meals out of the leftovers: $3. Not bad. Now add syrup for some of us and away we go!

Note: someone made good money to photograph for the Hungry Jack box. My picture is for example purposes only! :)
